Ingredients
switch to imperial- 250g ready-made puff pastry
- 4 Granny Smith apples, cut in half
- 1 small jar of mincemeat
- 1 tbsp milk to glaze
- raisins
- custard and green food colouring (optional)
Method
Preheat the oven to 200ÂșC or gas mark 6.
Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and cut it into frog shapes.
Cut the apples in half and scoop out the core using a teaspoon, then fill the hollow with a spoonful of mincemeat.
Carefully cover the apples with the pastry and lightly brush a little milk over the pastry frogs. Use two raisins to make eyes for the frog.
Place the frogs on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Get an adult to help.
Try adding a couple of drops of green food colouring to some custard and serve the frogs in a green pool.
