Need some more energy fast? Keep these in check and you'll be buzzing-- Drink plenty of water - a dehydrated body functions less efficiently and will have you feeling run-down and lethargic.
- Don't skip meals - going without food allows blood-sugar levels to dip. Eat regular, healthy meals and snacks to maintain your energy levels throughout the day.
- Watch your salt and fat intake. You should have no more than 6g of salt a day. Eat less saturated fats - opt for low-fat foods and check the label to choose unsaturates instead. Go for foods with 3g or less total fat per 100g, and 1g or less per 100g of saturated fat.
- Get enough sleep - aim for about eight hours sleep per night. Getting into this routine will have you alert throughout the day.
